Our Story

Hi there! We’re Cam and Beth, the husband-and-wife team behind Empire Copper.

Our journey began in 2019 in a humble carport — no walls, just an open space and a lot of imagination. What started as Cam experimenting with metalwork, colour, texture, and patination quickly grew into something more. Friends, family, and a growing online community fell in love with the pieces, and custom orders soon followed. That’s how Empire Copper was born.

From those early days selling through a small online marketplace, our passion only grew. On January 1st, 2021, we launched empirecopper.com, bringing our handcrafted pieces directly to you — where you’re reading this now.

Between 2021 and today, we’ve poured ourselves into transforming Empire Copper from a side hustle into a full-time studio. Along the way, we’ve been honoured to see our work featured in online blogs, newspaper articles, global design magazines, spotlighted by BuzzFeed, and in 2023 we were named an AusPost Local Business Hero. Each recognition reminds us that what began as a playful experiment has blossomed into something meaningful — a business built on craft, care, and creativity.

While we started with copper homewares and gifts, our studio has since grown to include brass and bronze, with collections spanning homewares, art, furnishings, jewellery, and gifts — all meticulously handcrafted in our Perth, Western Australia studio.

Every patina, every texture, every piece carries our dedication and love for the craft and as of March 2026, we’re proud to have shipped over 4,500 handmade pieces across Australia and 35 countries worldwide.
