Our Story

Hi there! We’re so glad you’ve found your way to Empire Copper. We’re Cam and Beth, the husband-and-wife duo behind Empire Copper.

Our journey began back in 2019 in the most humble of settings: a carport with no walls, just an open space and a lot of imagination. What started as a creative outlet for Cam; experimenting with metalwork, colour, texture and patination, quickly caught the attention of friends, family and a growing community online. Custom orders started to roll in, and before we knew it, Empire Copper was born.

In the early days, we sold our pieces through a small online marketplace, never quite imagining what lay ahead. But with every patina we created and every piece we dispatched our passion only grew. On January 1st, 2021 we took a leap and launched empirecopper.com the very website you're on now.

Before that moment, we spent countless hours digging deep into our purpose.
Why we do what we do, what matters most, and what we wanted to contribute to the world. From the beginning, we made a commitment: to offer the highest quality, one-of-a-kind copper homewares, art, and gifts — with a focus on rich, layered patinas and meaningful craftsmanship.

Since then, our little copper world has expanded to include brass and bronze, and our collections now span homewares, furnishings, jewellery and gifts; all handcrafted in our Perth, Western Australia studio.

As of April 2025, we’re proud (and still a little amazed) to say we’ve shipped over 3,500 handmade pieces across Australia and to over 30 countries worldwide. After nearly six years of reinvesting everything back into the business and with the incredible support from people like you, Cam is now working in the business full time.
